Sudsy! is an iOS laundry-guidance app built by Otterslab ("we," "us," or "our"). Sudsy! lets you build a virtual closet of your garments, scan clothing care labels with your camera ("AI Scan"), and sort your garments into the correct wash and dry groups ("AI Sort").
We built Sudsy! to be private by design. There is no app account and no login, and your data lives on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the rights you have. If you have questions, contact us at support@otterslab.com.
We, as the developer, do not collect, receive, or store any of your personal data on our servers. We operate no servers that receive your personal information.
The following data is created and stored locally on your device by default:

Sudsy! uses your device camera and, optionally, your photo library to capture care labels and garment photos. All image processing — including care-label symbol recognition (a Core ML / Vision model) and garment sorting — happens entirely on your device.
If you are a paid ("Pro") user, you can optionally sync your data across your own devices using Apple iCloud / CloudKit. When enabled:

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or tracking.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for advertising or any other purpose. There is no cross-app tracking.

Because your data stays on your device and we do not collect it, you already have direct access to and full control over your information at all times.
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK (GDPR/UK GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. You can exercise these rights directly on your device by viewing, editing, exporting, or deleting your data.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information, and there is no information for us to disclose because we do not collect it.

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security, including the passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and encryption provided by iOS. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is protected by Apple's iCloud security. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but keeping your data on-device and out of our hands minimizes exposure.
Sudsy! is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal data, no such data reaches us. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please note it remains on the device and can be removed by deleting the app or its data.
Your data is stored on your device wherever you are located. Because we do not receive your data, we do not transfer it internationally. If you enable iCloud sync, any transfer or storage of that data is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above and post the updated policy at otterslab.com. We encourage you to review it periodically.
